Deaimon

After ten years away chasing a dream that never worked out, Nagomu Irino returns to Kyoto when he hears that his father has been hospitalized. He assumes the family confectionery, Ryokushou, will finally need him as its heir, only to learn that his parents already have someone else in mind: Itsuka Yukihira, a serious ten-year-old girl who was left at the shop by her father. Nagomu is instead asked to become a dependable adult in Itsuka's life. Their personalities clash immediately, but the daily rhythm of making wagashi gradually brings them closer. As customers arrive carrying memories and worries of their own, the little shop becomes a place where family can be chosen as carefully as sweets are made.
