Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Sotsu

Rika Furude and Satoko Houjou have spent countless happy days together in Hinamizawa, but Rika's dream of attending the prestigious St. Lucia Academy changes the future they once shared. Satoko follows her friend despite her doubts, only to find herself isolated while Rika adapts to a new life and new social circle.

Desperate to recover the days she believes were stolen from her, Satoko encounters a supernatural being and gains access to truths that transform her understanding of Rika. Friendship gives way to obsession as Satoko begins pursuing the future she wants through repeated worlds, even if obtaining it means breaking Rika's will.
