Psycho-Pass

In future Japan, the Sibyl System continuously scans every citizen's mental state and converts the likelihood of criminal behavior into a Crime Coefficient. Anyone judged too dangerous can be detained or killed before committing an offense, with Inspectors enforcing those verdicts alongside Enforcers who have themselves been classified as latent criminals.

Akane Tsunemori joins Public Safety believing in law without wanting to surrender her own moral judgment. Working beside former Inspector Shinya Kougami exposes her to the side of society Sibyl's clean statistics do not show. As crimes and criminals appear whose reality does not fit the system's verdicts, Akane begins asking a question more dangerous than how to catch them: if Sibyl decides who is criminal, who decides whether Sibyl itself is just?
